Cloudflare is a CDN (Content Delivery Network) with an added security layer. Once Cloudflare is activated for a domain, all web traffic is routed through Cloudflare’s global network.
This network stores copies of static files on servers closer to your web visitors, speeding up delivery. Cloudflare automatically caches resources such as CSS, JavaScript, and images based on file extensions, so no configuration is needed. It also compresses resources with every request.
In addition to performance benefits, Cloudflare enhances security by blocking threats and limiting abusive bots before they reach your server, saving bandwidth and server resources.
Cloudflare supports the following HTTP ports: 80, 8080, 8880, 2052, 2082, 2086, and 2095. For HTTPS, Cloudflare supports ports: 443, 2053, 2083, 2087, 2096, and 8443.
